Urban Nest Outdoor Lifestyle is the premier Pittsburgh based outdoor living design-build contractor specializing in high-end outdoor renovations.

Dan founded Urban Nest Outdoor Lifestyle in March 2021 after more than twenty five years experience in interior architecture, design, and renovations. Urban Nest represents the intersection and evolution of his love for interior design and outdoor living. His vision is to create seamless integration of a home’s interior and exterior aesthetic so that the outdoors become a coordinated extension of your home and your hospitality. 

As Creative Director, Dan is active with the entire process: brainstorming and collaborating with clients, building and refining concepts, designing, 3D modeling, construction, and final delivery. His creative sensibilities and design experience allow him to see beyond what a client can imagine and illustrate that vision through detailed drawings and 3D modeling to help them realize their dreams. Hands-on in all aspects of each project, Dan has even been known to drive to the Laurel Mountains to hand-select the boulders that will become part of a final landscape design.
